Personality:
The world has long since made Ichor cruel, with a sharp tongue and an eye that catches insolence faster than most anything else. Her mind is constantly working and processing what is happening around her, and though she is not always the first to speak, she is determined to be the last. On her ship, Ichor's word is law, but far from being the dictator, Ichor recognizes strength in those around her and places them in positions that will be most advantageous to the crew as a whole. Somehow, the crew of The Elysium have wormed their way into Ichor's good graces, and though her sense of humor often comes barbed with insults, Ichor would not sail with those she does not respect and have a fierce loyalty toward.
Ichor's parents remain on land, ashamed of what their daughter has become. She was the only pup out of the litter that survived, and there are some that would suggest there is something demonic in Ichor that killed her siblings. It is all heresay, of course.

Her Story:
Ichor never planned to spend a life at sea. It did not rush in her bones the way that some of her crew speak of. There was no siren's song that brought her to the waters, but a slave trading vessel. Life before the kidnapping was pleasant, even after the loss of her brothers and sisters. She was young when it happened, and though her parents mourned, Ichor knew no better than to be fascinated by the world around her. She was never sad as a child, and though it was not deliberate, she often ignored the sadness of others. Her lack of compassion brought down ridicule upon the family, but Ichor did not understand enough about the rumors of what was wrong with her to be angry. She had a few friends that she would do anything for, and life was complete enough that she never yearned for more. But then the slavers came, dragging her from her home and throwing her aboard a ship. And gods how she hated that ship, the seasickness crippling her for weeks as they traveled across the open water.
But they never reached land. Accosted by a pirate ship midway through their journey, Ichor suddenly found herself dealing with a much different situation. The captain held no love for her, but his mate found Ichor fascinating. Even in the face of so much destruction and death, Ichor showed no sadness or remorse for the lives lost. Taken under the wing of the captain's mate, Ichor finally found her sea legs and grew used to the new life forced upon her. But still it was not her first love. Years later, she escaped from the pirate ship and sought out her parents and her friends. But they did not recognize who she had become. They cursed her name as she ran back to the pirate ship with her tail between her legs. It was the first sadness that broke through her heart, piercing her and embittering her toward land.
From then on, only the gentle rocking of the sea calmed the anger in her mind. Every day strengthened her until she began to see her old life as weakness, despising herself when she remembered any part of it with fondness. The anger transformed her disinterest into cruelty until she executed a mutiny aboard the pirate ship, believing the current captain and his mate to be soft. She refused to allow liabilities to limit the heights to which the crew would grow. Renaming the ship to The Elysium, Ichor began to rebuild with a crew of her own choosing.
